Although I knew Arlene for many years through working together at Schering-Plough, it was Peek-a-Boo that made Arlene more that a co-working, but also a fellow bunny lover. I learned a lot from Arlene about bunnies. Her love for Boo always showed in her face when she told stories about her. My heart goes out to Arlene and Dave.

Dear Ar, I am heartfully sorry to hear of the loss of Boo. But Boo was the most fortunate Bunny in the world to have You and Dave as her parents and as the two of you were just a fortunate to have such a Special Bunny who was like a dog at the same time. Boo was truly amazing and was loved by so many of us who didn't even meet her, but felt as though we knew her thanks to you sharing her stories and pictures. Most people cannot even imagine what a great pet and family member a bunny can be, but thanks to folks like You and Dave, bunnies have better lives.
Sincerely, ml

Boo. When you first came to our home I thought you would be difficult to take care of. Who would want some rabbit kept locked up in a cage. Then when we realized what kind of pet a rabbit could be, it was fun to see you do the things you did. Before I knew it you made me realize how much fun a rabbit could be. We were told what a rabbit will and won't do. But you didn't follow "rabbit" rules. Rabbits wont climb, we were told. But there you were, on the back of our couch, and running up the stairs, scratching on the bedroom door, demanding to be let in to explore. You were supposed to be happy in your cage, but you demanded to be let out to run all over the house. What fun it was to see you run so fast through the house, panting when you came to rest. "Rabbits dont know people". But you came running to see me every morning when I was putting on my boots for work. I will miss the way you would sniff my foot again and again, every time I would put it at your nose. And how you would lick my nose every time I put it at your cage. You knew who I was. You knew me. I will never forget that. You deserved a nice place to rest, so I made a comfortable bed for you to sleep in, and placed you close to us, so we will always remember you, But I know, you know, we wont forget you. Goodnight Boo.

They say those we have truly loved in this life never really leave... they remain with us 4-ever in our hearts. Can't believe it's been 3 yrs now since you left... yes, I still hear those occasional thumps out in the nook and still notice those bunny tracks in the fresh fallen snow... :-) We shared a special love. Missing you, Boo! Love, Ar xox
